A common method is to ask a collaborator living in Japan to set up a company and then apply for a Certificate of Eligibility.
In this case, the application is made after the company's establishment registration has also been completed, so once approval is granted, you can come to Japan and start your business immediately.
The permitted period of stay is one year.
