Foreign Driver's License Conversion Requirements to be Stricter

The requirements for foreign driver's license conversion will be stricter from October 1st.
The specific changes are as follows:

  • Proof of residency will be mandatory for application, making it impossible for short-term visitors to apply.
  • The written test will be changed to 50 questions with no illustrations, and a score of 90% or higher will be required to pass. (Currently, the test has 10 questions, and a score of 7 or more is a passing grade).
  • The practical skills test will also be stricter, equivalent to the level required for obtaining a new license.
