Foreigners married to Japanese can gain a status of residence of "Spouse or Child of Japanese National", and foreigners married to "Permanent Resident" may have the status of residence of "Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident", It is possible.
So what is the status of residence of foreigners who have been married to a "Long-Term Resident"?
The status of residence that can be obtained by a spouse of a resident of "Long-Term Resident" is "Long-Term Resident".
This is specified in the 5th Long-Term Resident notification No. 5 "Ro".
However, the marriage partner must be a "Long-Term Resident" who has been allowed to stay for more than one year.
