How can a person with a status of residence of "Spouse or Child of Japanese National(SCJN)" call in his / her own child in his / her home country?
A person residing in Japan with a status of residence of "Spouse or Child of Japanese National(SCJN)" must meet the following requirements if he / she wishes to bring his / her child from the previous marriage to Japan.
① The child is a minor and unmarried.
The child must be a minor under the laws of either Japan or his home country.
② The child needs to be supported by the parent.
Parents need to have enough income for their family to live, including the support of their children.
The above is just a principle and is not absolutely accepted.
If you are thinking of bringing in children in your home country, please feel free to contact us.
